The German company Siemens stated recently that the company had received an order totalling 750 million Euro (US$1 billion) for a contract to deliver 100 high-speed trains to China. The  company announced it had a signed agreement with the Chinese Academy of Railways, Tangshan Railway Vehicles, and Changchun Railway Vehicles to provide parts such as chassis and electrical equipment to the project.
