Dog Training Information Online

As someone who recently had the privilege of bringing home a new puppy, I know how much work training can be. Of course, the love and devotion a dog gives is well worth every minute, but I did find that there is a lot of conflicting information out there on how to go about training your dog. It sure did take me awhile to separate the good from the bad.

If you’re interested in dog obedience training, I would recommend checking out the perfectdogtraining.com website. The website provides a wealth of information on both understanding dog behavior, as well as how to go about training your pooch. It’s a very good read, as its seems that most people believe their dogs think just like humans and that’s not the case. Dogs see things their own way, and consider their human family their pack. The website elaborates on this and explains why we need to consider these pack elements when training a dog.

One portion of the website that I particularly enjoy is the “ask the trainer” section. It’s very interesting as you get to read about the issues others have had with their dogs, and then read the suggested solution. Also, if you have a problem yourself you can write in to “ask the trainer.” It’s truly a great website for anyone who owns a dog.

I am truly a fan of design and have to say its very true that life is in the details. I don’t like plain things and tend to try to spruce up as many little aspects of my life as possible. Well, today I came across a very neat website, called Carousel Checks which offers many different personal check designs and I just have to order some. My bank doesn’t offer a large variety of checks, so I was quite happy to find Carousel Checks and their many creative check designs.

The Carousel Checks website offers just about every kind of check theme that you can think of. Seasonal designs, Christmas designs, sports designs, nature designs and many more. You name it, and they very likely have a check theme involving it. So whether you’re a sports enthusiast who just loves baseball, or a total cat person, there’s no doubt they have a check that will speak to your personality. Personally, I just love the Garden Birdhouses Personal Checks and recommend checking them out!

Also, Carousel Checks offers custom photo checks where you can upload a photo of yourself, your business logo, your family or even your pet and have it printed right on the check. Very neat!

Facebook Causes Grades To Suffer

According to a recent study by researchers at Ohio State University, those that are both avid users of the social networking website Facebook as well as a college students are frequently seeing their grades suffer. The study was founded on a survey filled out by over 200 college students which compared their online habits as well as GPAs. The study claims that while those who used Facebook had lower GPAs than those who did not, seventy nine percent of students believed that their online activities did not influence their study habits.

I have to stay the study yields no real surprises. I mean, the more time spent surfing the internet and playing around on Facebook, the less time there is to spend perusing the books. However, the study is a good reminder for students to spend a little less time socializing online and a little more time attending to their studies.
