A Classic Feel For Microsoft Word 2007
When it comes to computer software products, if you are similar to me, you get very used to operating certain programs and after a few years feel as though you could work with them even while blindfolded. Eventually, you take this for granted until the dreadful day comes when you are forced to upgrade to a new software version.
For some reason, software companies just love to move buttons and tools around, often putting them in odd places that are difficult to get used to. I have found that this is true with many software products, and is especially annoying when its a software that I use frequently such as Microsoft Word and Excel. I use those two products everyday in my work life, and when I am required to upgrade versions it often takes me awhile to get used to the new software, and unfortunately during that time my productivity suffers.
Many times its my bosses who decide when its time to upgrade, and to be honest, I don’t even have much of a choice in the matter, as they will upgrade everyone’s computers for compatibility reasons. When I needed to upgrade my version of Microsoft Word 2003 to the newer Microsoft Word 2007, I found the new version’s layout to be very difficult to work with.
For that reason, I was very happy when I found a website called Addintools.com, which allows users to Retrieve classic menus and toolbars of Microsoft Word 2007! So instead of being forced to slow my work down while learning how to find everything in a new Microsoft software product, I can simple download the classic menu, and get right back to work. That should make both me and my boss happy!
The addintools.com website also offers classic toolbars for Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and more. So if you want your Microsoft Office to product to have a more classic feel, I highly recommend checking them out.
