Next Tuesday, Apple is going to hold an event to preview new software application for the iPhone. Apple stated that it will provide a “sneak peek” at the iPhone 3.0 software, together with information about the new kit that 3rd party vendors use to create applications for the device. A German court has fined a man 1,800 euros ($2,300) for unknowingly delivering an SMS message which informed the recipient they had just killed a Turk by opening it. Just before Germany won against Turkey in last year’s Euro 2008 soccer tournament, the man sent a message that in German meant “by opening this SMS, you have killed a Turk.” The recipient was also urged to forward the SMS to encourage a “clean” tournament.

The court charge was of inciting racial hatred. Nonetheless, the court dismissed the charge, which could have led to a prison term, in return for the fine due to uncertainty about the accusation and the motives of the accused. The man had been forwarded the SMS and unintentionally sent it to the name at the top of his phone’s address book. According to the sender’s lawyer, “The only reason the SMS became known about was because the home of the man he sent it to was searched by police. His mobile was confiscated and that’s when the SMS was found.” “It’s a farcical story really: my client is a conscientious objector and his brother-in-law is a Turk.” About 3% of Germany’s population are of Turkish origin.

The last tip relates to the capitalization of words. If you want to capitalize the first letter of a word, you simply finger tap the shift key and then tap the letter you want capitalized. However, what happens when you wish to capitalize the entire word? This is very simple, and doesn’t require you to finger tap the shift key before each letter. You will want to go to settings and then tap general after that tap keyboard. From there you will tap “Enable Caps Lock,” and then when you double tap the shift key it will light up blue, and now you will be able to type in all caps.
